bella Fits-anywhere Slim vs Instant Vortex Slim: the 6-qt slim class, on published specs

As an Amazon Associate, The Counter Lab earns from qualifying purchases. We do not do hands-on testing and we do not accept free units. Every figure below comes from a brand page, a retailer page, or an official manual we opened ourselves. When a page did not publish a figure, the table says so, and we never borrow a claim from a review site or a marketplace spec table.

Two air fryers share a name and a size: Slim, six quarts. The bella Fits-anywhere 6-qt Slim Air Fryer is part of a kitchenware line built around a slim profile, with an extra-long basket and 1,750 watts of power. The Instant Vortex Slim 6-Qt Air Fryer (AFB6002BK) backs its name with a full spec table in the official manual: width, depth, height, weight, wattage, and programs. This post compares what each brand actually puts on the page.

Two different answers to “slim”

bella’s answer is a line-level promise. The Target brand description calls the profile “streamlined” and says the extra-long basket “holds up to 5 lbs of fries, wings, salmon, and more.” The official bellakitchenware.com homepage describes the Fits-anywhere line as “designed to save up to 50% more space,” a claim made against the line’s own prior items. What bella does not publish for this model is dimensions: no width, depth, or height appears on any page we opened, so the slim claim cannot be checked against a number.

Instant’s answer is a dimension table. The official US manual for the AFB6002BK prints the full spec block: 17.78 in deep, 10.20 in wide, 11.85 in tall, 10.67 lb. The narrow number is the 10.20-inch width. That is a slim footprint you can measure a counter for. The manual also gives the clearance rule the brand expects: “Leave at least 5 in / 13 cm of space around the air fryer when in use.”

The price picture

The bella is the only one of the two with a current price. Target’s opened product page showed $59.99, InStock, on Oct 23, 2026. Our catalog’s Oct 10 read had the same model at $79.99 on Best Buy, so the dated stamp is doing real work here: $20 lower, thirteen days later, different retailer. For the Vortex Slim, no price appeared on any page we opened. There is no brand product page for it anymore, and no Target, Walmart, or Best Buy listing surfaced. Deal pages describe it as Amazon-only, but we did not open an Amazon product page, so that price stays out of this post. A model you cannot price today is a model whose value cannot be judged today.

What else the pages say

The bella’s Target brand description prints a coating claim: EverGood ceramic nonstick, “made without PFAS, PFOA, PTFE, lead and cadmium.” Its warranty, temp range, program count, and dimensions are not published on the opened pages, so they sit out of the comparison rather than being filled in from elsewhere.

The Instant manual prints a one-year limited warranty (original owner, proof of purchase required) and a “short power-supply cord” safety note with no length figure. Its jar-side features read like a full control panel: five named smart programs on a manual panel, no app or Wi-Fi in the printed specs.

Per-case verdicts

  • You want a slim 6-qt you can buy today with a dated price: the bella at $59.99 at Target. Honest trade: no published dimensions, program count, or warranty to weigh it against, so the slim claim rests on brand copy alone.
  • You want the narrowest published footprint: the Vortex Slim prints 10.20 in wide and 11.85 in tall, with the weight to match at 10.67 lb. Honest trade: no current price on any opened page, and no brand or retailer product page still merchandises it, so availability is uncertain.
  • You want ceramic nonstick with a printed PFAS-free claim: the bella names EverGood coating “made without PFAS, PFOA, PTFE, lead and cadmium” on the brand description.
  • You want named programs on the panel: the Vortex Slim lists Air Fry, Roast, Bake, Broil, and Reheat in the official manual. The bella’s program count is not published.

The honest limits of this comparison

We do not do hands-on testing, so nothing here ranks how evenly either machine browns. The bella publishes no dimensions, so the footprint comparison runs one way only. The Vortex Slim’s price and current availability could not be verified on any opened page, so its value cannot be judged today. Neither model has a model-confirmed Amazon ASIN in our records, so this post carries no buy buttons. Capacity figures both read 6 quarts, and both brands’ serving claims are quoted exactly as printed, not compared across different units.

How we compared

Specs come from pages we opened ourselves: the Target product page for the bella 6qt Slim Air Fryer, product A-94482773 (brand description and the $59.99 InStock offer, opened Oct 23, 2026), the official bellakitchenware.com homepage (the Fits-anywhere line claim, opened Oct 23, 2026), and the official Instant Brands US user manual for the Vortex Slim 6QT, document 140-3100-01 (full spec table transcribed, opened Oct 23, 2026). The bella’s earlier $79.99 Best Buy price is our own Oct 10, 2026 read from the opened Best Buy page. No figure was taken from a search snippet, a review site, or a marketplace spec table. Where a page did not publish a figure, the table says so.
